Cousins & Bath-time Fun

Whenver Chris and I get the kids together, they always take a bath together. Here is Aidan, Aaron & Gwen in our tub. Bella is MIA as usual. Anything to put off bedtime is the name of her game!
Hopefully the kids don't hate us for all these pics later in life!

Fairy Baking

Each week Bella gets to pick one item to cook from her Fairies Cookbook Aunty Chris got her for Christmas. Last week we made Mystic Moon Pies & Baked Snowflakes. Of course after she made everything she would not eat any of it~Gwen & I enjoyed it all though! Thanks Bella! :-)

We love the cookbook Aunty Chris!

Horse Haircut

One day last week, Bella got so excited because we found her missing kid scissors in the basement. NOW, I know why she got so excited to find them~she likes giving her rocking horse a haircut. The poor thing is going to be bald if he gets one more haircut!

Bowling in Brunswick

We finally went bowling today in Brunswick. Since we had been playing on the Wii since New Year's and Bella has been asking to go everyday, we finally went. Of course Bella was being difficult when we first got there and would not bowl until we had been there like 1 1/2 hours & we were almost done because we told her they had special kid-size balls (5-6 pounds) and when she saw that it was not a small(er) ball she was mad. She thought that the kids balls would be smaller than the adult balls and we tried to explain to her that they just weigh less but...she finally ended up doing it and loved it. Gwen got right into it as soon as we got there. We had a ball. Thanks for going with us Nonny & Opa!

Winter Wonderland

Here are some pics from last weekend. Paul and Bella went outside to play in all that snow and build a snowman. They had a blast!

'Merry Maids'

NO, I am not a slave labor EOE but Gwen has not figured out that cleaning is work yet. She thinks it is (still ) fun. Bella on the other hand, once in a blue moon will clean. Last week, I had the canister vacuum out to clean up one of the many messes Gwen had made in the kitchen (she has dumped a whole bag of shredded coconut, baking powder, salt, a whole box of Cheerios to name a few) she vacuumed the whole kitchen and foyer with it but has not done it since. :-( It was so refreshing to have help :-)
Gwen has no favorite either~she will use the Swiffer, broom & dustpan, Shark or tries to use the big vacuum too!

Gramama & her girls

Here are pics after Gramama surprised the girls after her and I spent the afternoon together (alone!) at Crocker Park. I met her around the corner and it was already getting late so we went our seperate ways and then 20 minutes later there was a knock at the door and it was her (with Wall-E in hand for the girls since I failed to bring them surprises home from Crocker Park earlier that day. ) ( I did bring them food from Trader Joe's but they were not impressed by that!)

Super Bowl Sunday

This is the 1st Super Bowl Sunday in 9 years that we did not have a party~sorry family & friends. I just was not into this year. So Paul and I had a few good 'munchy foods' and called it a night.

Paul is obsessed with my Mom's stromboli and kept saying we should try and make it ourselves~ I was too scared of it! So he went and bought all the stuff on Saturday night and when Bella and I got home from BJ's yesterday, this is what was on the counter. I had to take a picture of it cuz on the way home we were talking on the phone about it and he was saying 'it looks unedible,'it looks terrible,' I am embarrassed of it,' etc. Well when I got home I was very pleasantly surprised to see not only did it NOT look that bad but it was actually pretty darn good (especially for his 1st attempt at it and without ANY instruction at all cuz my Mom was at BJ's with Bella & I!). Way 2 go Paul! Thanks for making a delicious dinner!

I have not splurged on the girls in a while and I could NOT pass up this chair at BJ's yesterday. I have always wanted to get them 'mini' furniture and the store only had 3 left and to boot it was only $50! I thought Paul would be so mad at me for buying it but instead he asked 'why didn't you buy 2?'
